Placements24 is seeking an experienced Production Line Supervisor for an on-site facility in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role requires guiding and motivating operators, ensuring targets are met while upholding safety protocols and quality standards.

You will oversee daily line activities, train operators, and work with shift leaders to ensure smooth transitions and continuous improvement in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Production Line Supervisor or similar supervisory role.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, production workflows, and quality control principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of relevant safety procedures and regulations.
• Proficiency in basic record-keeping and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the production line, ensuring smooth and continuous operation.
• Assign tasks to production operators and monitor their performance to meet production goals.
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
• Train new operators on line procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Monitor production output, identify any deviations from targets, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform routine checks on machinery and equipment, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the production line.
• Collaborate with shift leaders and other supervisors to ensure seamless transitions between shifts.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
