Placements24 is seeking an IT Support Technician to join their expanding team in Rustenburg, North West. You will provide on-site technical support, diagnose hardware and software issues, and ensure reliable network connectivity for end-users across multiple company locations.

The role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, customer-focused communication, and the willingness to travel between sites. A proactive approach and a passion for continuous learning are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT support roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
• Excellent diagnostic and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to different company sites in Rustenburg area.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on IT support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues across company sites.
• Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and mobile device problems.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and Wi-Fi issues; configure basic network devices.
• Manage IT inventory and asset records.
• Assist with user account setup and workstation configurations.
• Respond to and triage IT tickets promptly and accurately.
• Collaborate with senior IT staff on projects and upgrades.
• Document all IT support activities in the ticketing system.
