Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Technical Installation Engineer to lead on-site installation, configuration, and initial setup of specialized equipment in Rustenburg. You will be the primary technical contact on-site, ensuring installations meet stringent quality and performance standards and supporting the client during handover.

This hands-on role requires autonomy, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to travel within the North West province to various client sites.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Installation Engineer or similar technical installation role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems relevant to products.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a field environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Execute on-site installations of complex technical equipment and systems with precision and adherence to blueprints and specifications.
• Perform initial system configurations, testing, and calibration to ensure optimal performance post-installation.
• Diagnose and resolve any technical issues that arise during the installation process.
• Provide on-the-spot technical guidance and support to clients during the handover phase.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all installation activities, including progress, challenges, and resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company protocols during site operations.
