Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Field Installation Engineer to oversee deployment and setup of specialized equipment at client sites across Port Elizabeth and surrounding regions. The role requires extensive travel, site surveys, and close collaboration with project managers, sales teams, and end users to interpret requirements and ensure high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in field installations, projects, or related engineering roles.
Strong understanding of installation best practices, safety standards, and technical documentation.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.

Responsibilities

Lead on-site installation projects to meet timelines and specifications.
Perform site surveys and assessments to identify installation requirements and challenges.
Install, configure and commission equipment per technical documentation.
Provide technical guidance and supervision to installation teams and contractors.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of installed systems for performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation and commissioning.
Liaise with clients to ensure their needs are met and provide operator training.
