Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Event Catering Coordinator to manage logistics and on-site execution for catering events in Mahikeng. You will translate client requirements into actionable plans, coordinate staffing, manage deliveries, and ensure flawless service for diverse clients in the North West region.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, excellent client communication, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends to support event schedules.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in event coordination, catering assistance, or a related hospitality role.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and staff.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by event schedules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all logistical aspects of catering events, from initial booking to final cleanup.
• Liaise with clients to confirm event details, menu selections, and special requests.
• Schedule and manage catering staff for events, ensuring adequate coverage and appropriate skill mix.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and logistics teams to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages.
• Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring that venues are prepared according to client specifications and company standards.
• Act as the on-site point of contact during events, troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction.
