Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Health and Safety Officer to ensure compliance on construction sites in Klerksdorp and the North West province. You will develop and monitor safety programs to prevent incidents and safeguard workers and visitors, contributing to operational excellence and well-being.

The role requires qualifications in occupational health and safety, at least five years’ experience in construction, and strong knowledge of SA safety regulations, with a focus on risk assessment

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in occupational health and safety (e.g., SAMTRAC, NOSA Diploma).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Health and Safety Officer, preferably in construction.
• In-depth knowledge of the South African OHS Act and construction regulations.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and hazard identification techniques.
• Excellent communication, training, and report-writing abilities.

• Conduct site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Investigate accidents and near misses; document findings and corrective actions.
