Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an On-Site Catering Supervisor to join our client’s team in Tembisa, Gauteng. This hands-on role oversees setup, service and breakdown at event venues, leading a team to deliver high-quality food, presentation and guest experiences.

You will ensure adherence to food safety standards, manage stock, train staff, and collaborate with the Catering Manager to ensure flawless event execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within catering or hospitality.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Understanding of catering operations and event execution.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP).
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Physically fit to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weight, and work in various event environments.
• Proactive problem-solving with keen attention to detail.
• Experience in menu setup and presentation is advantageous.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.

Responsibilities

• Supervise catering staff during event setup, service, and breakdown.
• Ensure food and beverage services meet client specs and standards.
