Job summary

Edge Executive Search Group is partnering with a leading courier and express logistics business to recruit a New Business Partner in Johannesburg. You will identify and secure new opportunities, develop tailored courier solutions, and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding.

You’ll work with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless transitions, exceed sales targets, and build long-term commercial relationships across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• 2–3 years’ proven sales experience within courier/logistics/transport.
• Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Business is advantageous.
• Strong business development and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel & PowerPoint; CRM experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new courier and logistics business opportunities.
• Prospect, network, and build a strong pipeline of qualified leads.
• Understand customer distribution needs and tailor courier solutions.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate agreements, and close new business.
• Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales reporting.
• Support onboarding of new customers and handovers.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure service delivery.
• Monitor market trends to grow market share.
