Job summary

Sasso Consulting (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town is seeking experienced New Business Professionals to join the Contract Logistics sales team at junior to senior levels. The role focuses on identifying, developing and securing new business within contract logistics, warehousing and dedicated contract solutions, building long-term client relationships and tailoring solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum 2–3 years' business development or sales experience.
Exposure to logistics, transport, warehousing or related B2B industries.
Diploma or qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business, Supply Chain or Logistics would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the contract logistics and warehousing sector.
Prospect through cold calling, networking, referrals and market research.
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
Conduct client meetings, presentations and solution-based sales engagements.
Understand customer supply chain operations, warehousing requirements and operational challenges.
Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, RFQs, RFPs and tender submissions.
Negotiate pricing, commercial agreements and service contracts.
Work closely with Operations, Pricing, Finance and Customer Service teams to develop tailored logistics solutions.
Ensure smooth handover of newly secured clients into operations.
Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting and sales forecasts.
Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activity and market opportunities.
