Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Network Infrastructure Technician for a remote-first role supporting Kimberley and other sites in the Northern Cape. You will install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points to ensure reliable connectivity and performance.

You will monitor networks, apply security patches, document configurations, and provide remote support to users and field staff, contributing to a robust, scalable IT backbone.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Network Infrastructure Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Excellent remote communication and problem-solving skills.
