Job summary

Select Motor Recruitment is seeking a Service Advisor for a passenger vehicle dealership in Cape Town. The role involves greeting customers, capturing service needs, providing estimates, scheduling, and coordinating between customers, technicians and parts to ensure timely, quality vehicle service.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in a service advisory role, strong communication, admin and organisational skills, and be comfortable using dealer management systems.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric required.
• 2–3 years' experience as a Service Advisor in a passenger vehicle dealership.
• Multi-franchise experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong understanding of service department operations.
• Computer literacy and dealer management systems experience.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and establish service requirements.
• Record customer concerns and vehicle requirements accurately.
• Provide estimates, service recommendations and repair timelines.
• Maintain regular communication on work progress and completion.
• Handle queries, complaints and concerns professionally.
• Open and manage job cards; schedule service and repairs.
• Coordinate workflow between customers, technicians, workshop controllers and parts.
