Job summary

MyCareerCraft is seeking a Service Station Manager to oversee multiple locations in KwaZulu-Natal. You will manage forecourt and convenience store operations, ensure inventory accuracy, and maintain equipment across sites.

Lead a team of attendants, cashiers, and café staff, while upholding health, safety and brand standards. The role requires 3–5 years in fuel retail or related retail management, a matric, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12); a relevant qualification in business, retail, or management is advantageous
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in fuel retail, convenience store, or related retail management
• Proven experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's licence

Responsibilities

• Manage all forecourt, convenience store, and in-store food/café operations on a daily basis
• Oversee fuel and retail stock control, ordering, and inventory accuracy
• Ensure all equipment — pumps, POS systems, refrigeration, café equipment — is maintained and operational
• Implement and uphold company standards, policies, and brand requirements (Engen, Total, Caltex, etc.)
• Recruit, train, schedule, and manage a team of fuel attendants, cashiers, and café staff
• Conduct performance reviews and manage disciplinary processes in line with the Labour Relations Act
• Foster a positive working environment with a focus on accountability and development
• Manage daily cash-ups, banking, and reconciliation
• Monitor and control operating costs to achieve profitability targets
• Analyse sales reports and identify opportunities to grow turnover
• Handle payroll input and ensure accurate timekeeping records
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on the forecourt and in-store
• Maintain valid operating licences, certificates of compliance, and supplier agreements
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address any risks promptly
• Uphold high standards of customer service across all areas of the site
• Handle escalated customer complaints professionally and efficiently
