Hewitt Colenbrander Recruitment is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to direct the daily operations of the fuel forecourt, convenience store, and food services, ensuring brand standards, profitability, and efficiency. You will supervise cash handling, reconciliations, stock control, rostering and payroll submission, and you will drive customer experience excellence across retail and fleet accounts.

Technical Competencies & Experience:

1. Operations Management: Direct the daily operations of the fuel forecourt, convenience store, and food services to ensure high brand standards, profitability, and efficiency.


2. Financial Oversight & Reporting: Manage cash-ups, electronic payment reconciliations, expense controls, and inventory tracking while delivering accurate financial reports to ownership.


3. Staff Leadership & Payroll: Supervise the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, training, performance management, rostering, and payroll submission.


4. Fuel & Inventory Control: Oversee wet stock management, daily tank dipping, variances investigation, and retail inventory replenishment to minimise stock‑outs and shrinkage.


5. Customer Experience Excellence: Drive premium customer service standards, resolve complaints promptly, and foster relationships with local businesses and fleet clients.


6. Loyalty Programme Execution: Spearhead the growth of the Shift rewards programme by driving customer registrations and tracking participation metrics.


7. Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to occupational health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and environmental protocols for petroleum handling.


8. Asset & Security Management: Maintain site security systems, cash‑handling controls, and coordinate the preventative maintenance of fuel pumps and facility infrastructure.
