Placements24 is seeking an experienced Process Manager to lead a mineral processing plant near Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will drive operational excellence, maximize plant availability, and meet production targets while upholding safety and environmental standards.

The ideal candidate has a metallurgical/chemical engineering background, 10+ years in processing with 5+ in supervision, and strong leadership to manage cross-functional teams and complex operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in mineral processing operations with 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience with crushing, grinding, flotation and dewatering.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.
• Knowledge of safety, health and environmental regulations in mining.
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs.
• Willingness to reside or commute to Mossel Bay area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all mineral processing plant operations, including major circuits.
• Develop plans to optimize performance, throughput and recoveries.
• Lead plant operations team fostering safety and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and regulations.
• Monitor metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Manage budgets and control costs without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and services to ensure reliability.
• Implement robust process control strategies and QMS.
• Lead process improvement and technology adoption.
• Mentor operational staff and enable career progression.
