About the Role

Our client, a prominent operator in the Mining sector, is seeking an accomplished Process Manager to lead and optimize their mineral processing plant operations near Mossel Bay, Western Cape . This leadership role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, ensuring maximum plant availability, and achieving production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental performance. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various mineral processing techniques, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to manage complex operations and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the mineral processing plant operations, including crushing, grinding, flotation, and dewatering.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize plant performance, increase throughput, and improve recovery rates.
• Manage the plant operations team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mineral processing operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Extensive knowledge of various mineral processing circuits and equipment.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a strong ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Proven track record in optimizing plant performance, improving recoveries, and managing costs.
• In-depth understanding of safety, health, and environmental regulations within the mining industry.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
