Job summary

Abbott in Western Cape, South Africa, seeks an Ambassador – Molecular Diagnostics to drive revenue growth, strengthen customer relationships, and expand Abbott's molecular diagnostics business across public and private healthcare sectors.

You will manage distributor partnerships, deliver product education, support tenders and commercial agreements, and collaborate with Marketing, Service, Finance, and Logistics to ensure seamless customer support and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biomedical science, medical technology, life sciences, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in diagnostics or related healthcare.
• 1–2 years proven track record of hitting commercial targets.
• Experience managing distributors & channel partners.
• Willingness to travel extensively in Western Cape & neighboring countries.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics.

Responsibilities

• Drive territory revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
• Identify and secure new opportunities in public/private healthcare.
• Develop and execute territory plans for sustainable growth.
• Manage distributor partnerships and joint business plans.
• Deliver product education and onboarding.
