About the Role

Our client, a specialist recruitment consultancy serving the resources sector, is seeking a skilled Mining Recruitment Specialist to join their dedicated team in Upington, Northern Cape . This role focuses on recruiting for operational positions within the mining industry, including roles such as Mine Managers, Operations Superintendents, Geologists, Metallurgists, and Safety Officers. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from understanding client operational needs to sourcing, assessing, and placing qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities

• Partnering with mining companies to understand their operational staffing requirements and challenges.
• Sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for a range of operational roles within the mining sector.
• Conducting in-depth assessments to evaluate technical skills, operational experience, and safety consciousness.
• Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of talent relevant to mining operations.
• Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including offer negotiation and facilitating onboarding.
• Staying informed about industry trends, safety regulations, and operational best practices in mining.
• Achieving and exceeding placement targets for operational mining roles.
• Providing exceptional service to both clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the company's CRM and ATS systems.
• Contributing to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities within the mining sector.

Requirements

• Proven experience in recruitment, with a focus on the mining industry, particularly operational roles.
• Demonstrated success in sourcing and placing candidates in positions such as Mine Manager, Superintendent, Geologist, Metallurgist, or Safety Officer.
• Strong understanding of mining processes, equipment, and operational environments.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
