Job summary

Sandvik Mining in South Africa seeks a Product Specialist to deliver technical guidance and support for the Solo long hole drill rigs, bolters, LHDs and surface drills. You will develop training, evaluate equipment performance and assist with implementation according to Sandvik standards.

The role requires a Grade 12/N3 technical qualification or equivalent, a mechanical or electrical trade qualification, and at least 5 years in underground mining.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 / N3 Technical Qualification or equivalent.
• Mechanical or electrical trade qualification.
• Underground hardrock mining experience.
• CAN bus systems familiarity and basic software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and organize product training for sales and service personnel for Sandvik products.
• Perform technical evaluations and prepare reports; analyze malfunctions and root causes.
• Maintain equipment data and provide online adjustments as needed.
• Represent Sandvik fleet, especially Solo long hole drill rigs, bolters, LHDs and surface drills, following Sandvik standards.
