Job summary

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Product Specialist to provide quality technical support and to develop the technical competencies of customers and internal personnel. The role is product focused and concentrates on guidance for implementation and strategies for the product range.

The candidate will train sales and service staff, prepare technical reports, perform root-cause analyses, and monitor instruments to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent technical qualification.
• Sandvik Underground Hardrock machine range experience.
• Relevant mechanized mining experience (5 years).
• Underground and surface mining environment experience.
• Maintenance competence in at least two of: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and organize product training for sales and service personnel.
• Develop procedures and document technical reports.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective action.
• Monitor instruments and collect operating data for online adjustments.
• Analyse malfunctions and resolve instrument/control system issues.
• Prepare reports using salvage tracking, trending and root-cause metrics.
• Maintain process designs in line with SOPs and GMPs.
• Represent Sandvik fleet with knowledge of Solo long hole drill rigs, bolters, LHDs and surface drills.
