Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years in security management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within mining or heavy industry.
• Proven experience developing security protocols and risk management plans.
• Knowledge of CCTV, access control, and perimeter security systems.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage sensitive situations with discretion.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Mine Security Manager to oversee the security operations for their facilities located in and around Soweto, Gauteng. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive security strategies to protect company assets, personnel, and operations from theft, vandalism, and other security threats. You will lead a team of security personnel, manage security systems, and liaise with local law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and secure working environment. This hybrid role requires a balance of on-site supervision and strategic planning from an office base, ensuring robust security measures are in place across the mining sites and associated infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
