Placements24 is seeking a strategic Mine Planning Manager to lead all mine planning activities for operations near Vereeniging in Gauteng. You will develop long- and short-term plans, optimize resources, and ensure alignment with regulations.

Lead a team of planning engineers and geologists, drive safety and cost efficiency, and collaborate with operations, geology, and engineering to deliver feasible plans. Relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of mine planning experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Proven expertise in mine planning software (Deswik, Mine2-4D, Whittle) and geological modelling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term strategic mine plans to optimize resources and production.
• Oversee short-term operational plans ensuring practicality and achievability.
• Lead and mentor the mine planning team to maintain accuracy and innovation.
