About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Mine Planning Manager to oversee long-term and short-term mine planning for their operations near Nelspruit . This leadership role is critical for ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective extraction of mineral resources. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive mine plans, optimizing production schedules, and integrating geological data with engineering designs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of the unique geological and operational challenges presented by mining in the Mpumalanga province.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated long-term and short-term mine plans, including production targets and schedules.
• Collaborate with geological and engineering teams to optimize mine design and extraction methods.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new mining projects and expansions.
• Oversee the application of mine planning software and tools to generate production plans and designs.
