About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Mine Planning Engineer with a focus on short-term planning to join their operations near Benoni . This role is crucial for developing detailed, daily, and weekly mine production schedules, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring safe and efficient extraction of ore. You will work closely with site supervisors, surveyors, and production teams to translate long-term plans into achievable operational objectives. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your planning expertise directly contributes to the productivity and safety of the mine, set within the heart of Gauteng's mining region.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage detailed short-term mine production schedules (daily, weekly).

Requirements

Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.

Solid understanding of mining methods, equipment capabilities, and operational constraints.
Experience with drill and blast design and optimization is advantageous.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
