Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of mine planning and design experience, with a strong project portfolio.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard mine planning software packages (Deswik, Vulcan, Leapfrog).
  • Strong understanding of geological modeling, reserve estimation, and mine economics.
  • Experience with open-pit and/or underground mining methods.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term and short-term mine plans balancing economic and technical factors.
  • Create detailed mine designs, optimizing pit limits, haul roads and infrastructure.

About the Role

You will work with advanced mine planning software and collaborate closely with exploration, operations, and technical services teams. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of geological data, mining methods, and production scheduling to maximize asset value and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive mine plans, including long-term strategic plans and short-term production schedules, considering economic and technical factors.
  • Create detailed mine designs, optimizing pit limits, haul roads, and other mine infrastructure.
  • Utilize mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan, Leapfrog) for geological modeling, reserve estimation, and mine layout.
  • Collaborate with geological teams to integrate exploration data and update resource models.
