Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering; postgraduate qualification advantageous.
• 7+ years in mine operations management with 3+ years in supervision.
• Experience in underground or open-pit mining and related technologies.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, planning and safety discipline.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all daily mine production activities, including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and processing.
• Develop, implement, and monitor short-term and medium-term production plans to achieve operational targets.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel.
• Optimize mining methods and equipment utilization to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Manage operational budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control measures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and operational reviews to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and geological departments to ensure seamless mine operations.
• Implement and oversee safe work procedures and practices to minimize incidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Monitor KPIs and report on operational performance to senior management.
• Foster a positive and productive team culture that encourages innovation and employee engagement.
