Placements24 is seeking a Mine Operations Manager near George to oversee daily to monthly mining activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable extraction of resources. The role requires 10+ years in mining with at least 5 in supervision, and a Bachelor’s in Mining Engineering.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage production plans, and optimize equipment and resource allocation while maintaining strict regulatory compliance and a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive mining experience, including leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in planning, scheduling, and budgeting for mining operations.
• Deep knowledge of mining safety protocols and regulatory compliance in SA.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee daily to monthly mine production plans.
• Lead diverse teams of mining professionals and support staff.
• Ensure strict health, safety, and environmental compliance with company policies.
• Optimize methods, equipment usage, and resource allocation for efficiency and cost control.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to meet targets.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and geology for seamless operations.
