About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Mine Manager to lead their significant underground mining operations in the Randburg district. This senior leadership position is responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational efficiency, safety, and profitability of the mine. You will oversee all aspects of mining production, including planning, resource management, personnel leadership, and ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic and operational plans to achieve production targets and financial goals.
• Manage and lead a diverse workforce, fostering a culture of safety, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee all underground mining activities, including development, production, and support services.
• Ensure compliance with all legislative, safety, health, and environmental regulations pertinent to mining.
• Manage operational budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation for maximum efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field; an MBA is advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience in underground mining operations .
• Valid Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (or equivalent).
• Proven track record of successful mine operations management, including safety performance.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and financial acumen.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working in the Randburg area or similar demanding environments.
