Placements24 is seeking a skilled Mine Maintenance Technician to support continuous operations in Vereeniging. You will maintain mining equipment, diagnose faults, and ensure safe, reliable performance of all systems.

The role requires a trade certificate and at least 3 years of experience in heavy industrial or mining maintenance, with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years in heavy industrial or mining equipment maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with mining safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on mining machinery such as crushers and conveyors.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
• Read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain maintenance logs and report equipment status.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
