Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of electrical equipment, including motors, generators, control panels, and high-voltage systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and malfunctions promptly and efficiently to minimize production downtime.
• Install and commission new electrical equipment and systems according to specifications and safety standards.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics , blueprints, and technical manuals to guide maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with strict health, safety, and environmental regulations, particularly within a mining context.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent on each task.

Requirements

• Trade Qualification (e.g., Electrician, N3) or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within the mining industry or heavy industrial settings.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC motors, VSDs, PLCs, and HMI systems.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems and safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment and at heights.
