Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking a seasoned Mill Supervisor to manage oat mill production efficiencies, optimize yield and control costs at the Cape Town facility. You will oversee asset management, maintenance planning and inventory, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include reporting on yields, driving continuous improvement, and leading a team to achieve production targets while minimizing downtime and waste.

Qualifications

• Qualified Wheat or Maize miller (GMF Trade).
• Minimum 4 years proven experience running a wheat, maize or oat mill.
• Oat milling experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee asset management and maintenance of milling equipment.
• Ensure continuous availability of equipment and reduce downtime.
• Manage stock and yield optimisation to meet production targets.
• Compile production and quality analysis reports and ensure GMP compliance.
• Lead and develop milling staff; promote health and safety practices.

Main Function:

To manage the Oat mills production efficiencies, people productivity, and overall capacity of the production facility to ensure optimum performance of the plant with regard to product quality, cost, service levels and working capital.

• Operate the mills according to planned relevant production schedules aligned with the various departments to ensure that orders are met timeously.
