Job summary

Placements24 in Centurion, Gauteng is seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer to join our IT team. You will design, implement, and manage scalable CI/CD pipelines, IaC with Terraform/Ansible, and container orchestration with Kubernetes, across multiple applications.

You will collaborate with development and QA, monitor systems with Prometheus and ELK, and optimize security, performance, and cost. A 2–4 year background in DevOps/SRE, scripting in Python/Bash/PowerShell, and cloud experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field.
• 2–4 years in DevOps, SRE or systems administration.
• Strong scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell) and cloud experience.
• Solid CI/CD knowledge and containerization fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure with IaC (Terraform/Ansible).
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Manage Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Set up monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and alerts.
• Collaborate with developers and QA for smooth deployments.
• Ensure security, performance, and cost-efficiency of systems.
