Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Microsoft Server Specialist to support and optimize our IT infrastructure. You will install, configure and maintain servers, ensure up-to-date hardware and drivers, and troubleshoot issues to keep services running at peak performance.

The role requires degrees in CS/IT and hands-on experience with Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, and Hyper-V, plus Dell storage hardware familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field required.
• 5 year experience with Microsoft products and services preferred.
• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required.
• Experience with Active Directory and/or Exchange Server is necessary.
• VMware and Hyper-V certified or highly capable.
• Dell Hardware / Storage / SAN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides training to other members to install, manage, or troubleshoot systems.
• Sets up, configures, tests, operates, and maintains servers.
• Recommends new software and hardware to meet requirements.
• Provides configuration guidance on installation, servicing, and maintenance of Microsoft Server and Desktop products
• Develops new systems, applications and databases and maintains existing ones.
• Ensures server hardware is properly configured with minimal impact on others.
• Troubleshoots infrastructure issues.
