Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Data Center Engineer to manage and maintain our data center, including VMware vSphere and hybrid cloud workloads. You will provide day-to-day IT support across VMware, vRealize Automation, Tanzu, Morpheus, and storage platforms.

The role requires hands-on administration of Linux and Windows servers, configuration of hardware for performance, and incident response for complex system issues with after-hours escalation. Strong scripting helps.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in IT-related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing VMware vSphere, Linux/Windows servers, and storage.
• Strong scripting abilities and familiarity with hybrid cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain data center operations and virtualization platforms.
• Deploy and support VMware vSphere, vRealize Automation, Tanzu, and Morpheus suites.
• Administer Linux and Windows servers and storage platforms.
• Configure and tune network and hardware for reliability and performance.
• Assist with incident response and after-hours escalations.
• Support disaster recovery, backups, and documentation.
