The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in media/PR, with strong writing, CMS proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-site position in Soweto.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in media relations, PR, or campaign management.
• Strong writing and verbal communication with storytelling talent.
• Proven ability to build and nurture media contacts.
• Experience with social media platforms and CMS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic media relations plans and campaigns.
• Build relationships with local, regional, and national media.
• Draft and distribute press releases, advisories, pitches, etc.
• Monitor media coverage and identify opportunities for positive engagement.
• Coordinate interviews and manage crisis communications as needed.
• Oversee social media presence and content strategy.
• Gather stories from programs and craft campaign narratives.
• Organize media events, press conferences, and outreach.
• Measure and report on campaign effectiveness.
