Placements24 is seeking a versatile Mechanical Engineer with strong project management skills to join our client in Richards Bay. You will oversee the lifecycle of mechanical projects, from design and planning through to execution and commissioning, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.

The role demands leadership, clear communication, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience, with 2+ years in project management.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple mechanical projects from design through commissioning.
• Develop plans, schedules and budgets; monitor milestones.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers and contractors.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure safety and standards.
• Prepare status reports for senior management.
