Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to manage diverse engineering projects in Pretoria. You will oversee lifecycle stages from concept through commissioning, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of project engineering/management experience, with strong leadership, communication, and PM software proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in project engineering or management in industrial settings.
• Proven track record delivering complex mechanical projects from inception to completion.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies; PMP certification is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical engineering projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop project plans and manage resources effectively.
• Oversee design, engineering, and procurement of mechanical equipment and systems to applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate with construction teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies during installation and commissioning.
• Conduct risk assessments and maintain meticulous project documentation.
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful outcomes in Pretoria.
