Qualifications

• Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (e.g., NQF Level 3 or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in mechanical fitting, preferably on heavy mobile equipment or in a mining environment.
• Proficiency in the use of mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop machinery.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, powertrain components, and general mechanical principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a medical examination for underground work if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy mining machinery, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
