Job summary

Communicate Finance seeks a senior mechanical engineer in South Africa to lead the mechanical design for pump stations and water treatment plants. You will develop and review P&IDs, layouts, specifications and drawings, and perform sizing and calculations.

You will coordinate with civil, electrical and process teams, liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers, and ensure designs meet project requirements.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 10+ years’ Mechanical Engineering experience


• Strong experience in pump stations and water treatment projects


• Proven P&ID design and interpretation experience


• Strong mechanical design and equipment specification skills


• Experience working on multidisciplinary infrastructure projects


• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving abilities


• Excellent communication and project coordination skills

Qualification:

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Mechanical Engineering


• ECSA registration advantageous
