Job summary

Communicate Finance seeks a senior Mechanical Engineering leader to guide a high-performing design team. You will mentor engineers, allocate resources to top-priority projects, and interface with clients to capture requirements for compliant solutions.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, leading design reviews, and developing 3D models and drawings from concept to production. You will drive continuous improvement and maintain data across systems, with occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering is required (BEng/BSc).
• Minimum 15 years post-graduate engineering design experience.
• Proven leadership of engineering/design teams.
• Strong project management and resource planning capabilities.
• Experience conducting design reviews and ensuring standards compliance.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 15 years' post-graduate engineering design experience
• Strong background in product design and engineering development
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering or design teams
• Strong project management and resource planning capabilities
• Experience conducting design reviews and ensuring compliance with engineering standards
• Proficiency in CAD design, including 3D modelling and 2D engineering drawings
• Experience working with Product Data Management (PDM) systems
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience leveraging digital engineering tools to improve design quality, data management, and project execution
• Willingness to travel internationally when required
