Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman in building services
• Proficiency in Revit MEP 2018 or higher
• Experience in HVAC building services
• Draughting diploma is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications according to the plan
• Prepare plans, details, specifications and cost estimates of plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and general piping system
• Provide technical advice regarding installation and maintenance of the MEP System
• Analyze Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing problems and formulate solutions
• Identify problems in design, planning, management and delivering multiple projects
• Plan, organize review and evaluate the work of consultants and contractors; proficient with MS Office, AutoCAD and project management software
• Prepare and deliver effective oral presentations when required

An industry-leading company situated in Gauteng is currently seeking the expertise of an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman to join their team in Pretoria.

Responsibilities:

• Review plans and specifications according to the plan.
• Prepare plans, details, specifications and cost estimates of plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and general piping system.
• Provide technical advice to the staff designer, supervisor, inspector, and contracting service provider regarding the installation and maintenance of the MEP System.
• Analyze Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering problems and formulate solutions.
• Identify problems in the design, planning, management and delivering multiple projects.
• Plan, organize the review and evaluate the work of consultants, contractors, and others. MEP Engineer knows MS Office, AutoCAD, and Construction Project management software.
• MEP Engineer has to prepare and deliver effective oral presentations whenever required

Requirements:

• 2 + Years’ experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman working with Building services projects
• 2 + Years’ experience in the Design and Draughting of Building services
• Produce concept, tender and technical mechanical engineering drawing for commercial buildings, hospitals, data centers etc.
• Revit MEP 2018 or higher compulsory, minimum 2-year experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience in building service (HVAC)
• Strong Co-ordination skills
• Draughting diploma will be an advantage.
