Job summary

Professional Resources Partners Pty Ltd in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily factory operations at the West Rand site. You will manage production output, ensure food safety and quality, and lead production teams to meet targets in a high-volume environment.

The role focuses on planning, scheduling, continuous improvement, and coordinating with maintenance, quality and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations and cost-effective production.

Qualifications

• Matric and relevant qualification in production management or related field advised.
• Minimum 5 years’ production management experience in meat/food manufacturing.
• Strong HACCP, GMP, food safety and quality management knowledge.
• Experience leading production teams in high-volume environments.
• Proficient in MS Office; ERP experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and oversee daily production activities.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are met.
• Lead, supervise and develop production staff.
• Monitor production efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, hygiene and safety standards.
• Manage production schedules, labour and resource planning.
• Monitor product quality and minimise waste.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality and Warehouse teams.
• Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Compile daily, weekly and monthly production reports.
• Control costs while maintaining efficiency.
• Ensure all SOPs and policies are followed.
