Job summary

Resources Partners Pty Ltd in Johannesburg, Gauteng, is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily meat processing operations, manage staff and ensure products meet quality, food safety and production standards.

You will maintain production schedules, monitor yields and waste, train workers on hygiene, safety, and SOPs, and collaborate with QA and maintenance to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate is required for the role.
• Relevant qualification in Food Technology, Meat Processing or Production Management is advantageous.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a production supervisory role within meat processing or food manufacturing.
• Practical understanding of meat processing operations and workflows.
• Experience supervising production teams in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily meat processing and production activities to meet targets.
• Ensure plans are implemented efficiently and resources allocated appropriately.
• Monitor output, workflow, productivity and downtime.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain stock levels of materials, packaging and equipment.
• Train staff on procedures, hygiene and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with QA, maintenance and stores to improve workflow.
