Dixie Recruitment is recruiting a hands-on Factory Manager for a meat processing operation in Pinetown, KZN. You will oversee full factory activities from receiving to dispatch, ensure safety, yield, quality and on-time supply to retail and wholesale customers.

The role requires 4+ years in meat processing leadership, HACCP knowledge, ERP experience, and the ability to manage a large unionised workforce in a demanding environment; early starts and peak trading periods apply.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Food Production / Operations, Food Technology, Meat Science or equivalent.
• HACCP and food-safety training required; ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 exposure is advantageous.
• Minimum 4 years as Factory/Plant/Senior Production Manager in meat processing.
• Strong knowledge of carcass yield, cutting, mince and value-added meat production.

Responsabilités

• Manage the full factory operation from receiving, cutting and processing through to packing, chilling, storage and dispatch.
• Own production planning to ensure retail stores and wholesale customers are supplied accurately and on time.
• Drive yield, throughput, labour efficiency, waste reduction and overall factory profitability.
• Ensure consistent product quality, specifications, pack weights, labelling and shelf life.
