Job summary

Resources Partners Pty Ltd is seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily factory operations at the West Rand site in Gauteng. You will manage production output, ensure food safety and quality, lead teams and drive efficiency in a high-volume setting.

Requirements include Matric and a relevant production management qualification, plus at least 5 years in meat processing or food manufacturing and strong HACCP/GMP knowledge. You will coordinate schedules, control costs and deliver timely reports.

Qualifications

• 5 years' production management experience in meat processing or food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety and quality management systems.
• Proven experience managing production teams in high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills.
• Computer literacy (MS Office; ERP systems advantageous).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and oversee daily production activities.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are achieved.
• Lead, supervise and develop production staff.
• Monitor production efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Manage production schedules, labour allocation and resource planning.
• Monitor product quality and minimise waste.
• Liaise with Maintenance, Quality and Warehouse departments for smooth operations.
• Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Compile daily, weekly and monthly production reports.
• Control production costs while maintaining efficiency.
• Follow all company policies and standard operating procedures.
