Job summary

Takealot Group, South Africa's leading online retailer, invites applications for a Marketplace Sales Intern to join the Cross-Border eCommerce team. This 18-month contract role supports BDAs, prepares reports, and analyzes marketplace data to drive decisions.

The internship focuses on seller onboarding, performance monitoring, and collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Catalogue and Customer Experience, while offering mentorship and hands-on experience in a fast-paced e-commerce

Qualifications

• N6/ NCV in Business Management, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Experience or familiarity with e-commerce or online marketplace platforms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support BDAs with day-to-day admin tasks, seller correspondence, and account management.
• Prepare clear reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate sales performance and marketplace insights.
• Collect, analyse, and interpret sales and marketplace data to support decision-making.
• Assist in maintaining seller records, onboarding documentation, and SOPs.
• Monitor seller performance against KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Catalogue, and Customer Experience.
• Coordinate and administer promotional activities and catalogue updates.
• Assist with seller onboarding support and data integrity across systems.
