GWM CAPE TOWN is seeking a Market Analyst to provide data-driven insights and performance analyses to support dealer network growth and strategic planning. The role focuses on dealer performance, market intelligence, forecasting, reporting, and identifying opportunities to optimise business performance across the dealer network.

Responsibilities include monitoring dealer performance, developing scorecards and dashboards, and conducting market share analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in automotive OEM, dealer network management, sales operations, business intelligence, or market analysis.
• Experience with dealer performance data, market share analysis, and large datasets.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

Purpose of the Role

The Market Analyst is responsible for providing data-driven insights and performance analyses to support dealer network growth, market share improvement, and strategic business planning. The role focuses on dealer performance, market intelligence, target setting, forecasting, reporting, and identifying opportunities to optimise business performance across the dealer network.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse dealer performance, sales targets, KPIs, SSI, and lead conversion rates.
• Develop and maintain dealer scorecards, dashboards, and performance reports.
• Conduct market share, AOR, and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Support target setting, forecasting, and business planning initiatives.
• Prepare executive reports and presentations for management.
• Maintain data accuracy and support Power BI dashboard development and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Data Analytics, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in automotive OEM, dealer network management, sales operations, business intelligence, or market analysis.
• Experience working with dealer performance data, market share analysis, and large datasets.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Automotive industry experience will be highly advantageous.
