Novartis SA (Pty) Ltd. in South Africa seeks a senior professional to lead the implementation of a sustainable Patient Access strategy at the local CPO level.

You will collect and analyze data to generate insights for Patient Access submissions that create value for customers, patients and Novartis. You will coordinate with national and international cross-functional teams, develop market access tools, pricing dossiers, and business cases, and deliver reports that translate data into actionable

Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceutical pricing, contracting, market access, or commercial operations.
• Hands-on experience with pricing models, business cases, tenders, rebates, or payer systems.
• Strong analytical, forecasting, financial interpretation, and process-management skills.
• Ability to influence across functions and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• A customer-focused, solutions-oriented mindset with high accountability and strong compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to submit patient access dossiers to regulatory authorities applying high standards of operational excellence.
• Provide input into local product development decisions based on customer needs and market dynamics.
• Provide analytical rationale for business cases and support TA's with market access strategies.
• Maintain and update P&R tools and systems; build and leverage networks with key customers and Payers.
• Create insightful reports translating data on pricing and reimbursement into actionable recommendations.
• Capture external environment events that impact market access and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead local input to global and local pricing/HEOR models reflecting the local environment.
• Support tender/deal processes and understand from a commercial viewpoint; identify needed tools.
