Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Senior Pharmaceutical Market Access Manager for East London, Eastern Cape. You will develop and implement market access strategies, engaging payers, health authorities, and key opinion leaders to demonstrate value and secure favorable reimbursement and formulary placement.

Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Health Economics, Public Health, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in market access, health economics, or a related function within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing market access strategies.
- Deep knowledge of healthcare systems, payer landscape, and reimbursement policies in South Africa and/or other relevant markets.
- Strong HEOR methodologies, analytical, strategic thinking and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute market access strategies for new and existing pharmaceutical products in line with commercial objectives.
- Conduct HEOR studies to demonstrate value to payers and healthcare systems.
- Engage with national and regional payers, government bodies, and stakeholders to secure optimal market access and reimbursement.
- Develop value dossiers and negotiation materials to support pricing and submissions.
- Monitor market access landscape, identifying opportunities and threats.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, medical, and regulatory teams to align on market access strategies.
- Build relationships with KOLs and patient advocacy groups.
- Provide market access expertise and training to internal teams.
- Analyze competitor market access strategies and identify best practices.
- Track and report on key market access metrics and outcomes.
