Job summary

Morton Moore is seeking two Underwriting Administrators to support Marine and Commercial Lines in the Western Cape. The roles sit in a FAIS-compliant intermediary environment and focus on accurate information and professional service for clients, brokers, and insurers.

Successful candidates will manage a full underwriting cycle, maintain records, process quotes and renewals, and collaborate with the team, while adapting to regulatory changes and delivering strong service under pressure.

Qualifications

• FAIS compliant with qualification and RE Exam completed.
• 3+ years underwriting or insurance administration experience.
• Marine and/or Commercial Lines exposure is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and service focus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients, brokers and insurers providing accurate policy info.
• Build relationships with clients, brokers and suppliers.
• Process quotes, new business, renewals and endorsements accurately.
• Adhere to SLAs and maintain organized records and diary system.
• Study insurance products and assess related background info.
• Calculate risk and determine competitive premiums; negotiate terms.
• Document underwritten decisions and manage policy records.
