Job summary

WTW's Marine business in South Africa seeks an experienced marine broker to service clients, place risks, and support the claims team by understanding loss circumstances and providing complex advice. You will broker and place risks into the regional market, identify suitable markets and develop placement strategies.

Collaborate with underwriters and regional marine leadership to build pipelines, travel as required, and deliver compliant, high‑quality service.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of marine broking experience.
• Proven insurance broking or underwriting track record.
• In-depth knowledge of marine insurance and client inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Service clients and place risks in the regional market.
• Develop and implement placement strategies with underwriters.
• Coordinate with WTW's regional marine leadership and global teams.
• Build and maintain client and cedant relationships through meetings.
• Assist with RFPs and tender responses and contribute to proposals.
• Ensure compliance with WTW guidelines and processes.
